Just for today, I will let go of worry.
Just for today, I will let go of anger.
Just for today, I will give thanks to my many blessings.
Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
Just for today, I will be kind to myself and all living things.

Tuesday ~ January 26, 2021
Today is frigid in Ayer, Massachusetts. New England likes to keep you cold in the winter months. This is the first Tuesday where we do not have Donald J. Trump as president. I sincerely despise using that name, but I cannot ignore the atrocities that occurred in the world for the last 4 years. Our world became more tainted with hate and it spread like wildfire. Literally in the U.S. in 2020 during a global pandemic there were numerous forest fires in America; locations like California, Colorado, and the Pacific Northwest were heavily affected by the devastation. Since global temperatures have risen it’s caused more natural disasters to occur at a pace that’s very disturbing to the everyone and everything on planet, Earth.
This is the first Tuesday where I’ve decided to write a blog and research in depth the knowledge of Reiki Treatments and how it benefits a person’s wellbeing. I am a Reiki Master and I believe I must’ve been a Japanese monk or man in my past life. I’m probably related to an alien civilization called the Pleiadeans, perhaps. I’m very much an empath and sensitive soul that likes to be attuned to the beauty in life- never swaying, never hung, always moving, and new ventures with healing now sprung. I believe 2021 will bring a more prosperous year for those working hard at staying alive. Healing is much needed right now.
All of my good friends and family that know me understand that a dream of mine has been to move to Portland, Oregon or somewhere in the Pacific Northwest. I’m smiling as I’m typing my first blog entry down in my parent’s basement and where there’s a Big Buddy gas furnace warming up the makeshift office space that I have. I’ve been working remotely from my parent’s house for the last three months now. I’m so grateful to be here.
I plan to write an entry every four to six business days. I’m not sure where this new idea of mine will go- I believe strongly that I’m meant to be a participant in the world of Reiki. I would love to continue my Reiki Master training in Portland, OR also. I am confident I will be able to find a Reiki master and other Reiki practitioners to work with. Once again- I am smiling as I’m typing this.
Our world is terribly toxic. There’s no denial. I like to speak the Truth.
Reiki is a holistic therapy that began in Japan around 200 years ago. It’s a non-invasive approach of therapy that involves the Reiki practitioners’ hands over someone’s body with or without touching them. For those that practice yoga might be familiar with a term called chakras. Chakras are the energy channels throughout the body. It is said that each wheel moves along Universal energy in a perfect rhythm of ebb and flow. It is said that when one or more chakras become blocked then a person may develop disease, an interruption to the ebb and flow.
The Reiki practitioner acts as a channel of the Universal energy to open the chakras so the energies can realign and be balanced again. After 15 to 20 minutes the recipient will feel relaxed. Some people can see colors or feel a cooler or warmer. It depends on the person and each healing session is different.
Another dream of mine is to start a wellness clinic on holistic health in the Pacific Northwest. I understand that there’s healers out there for me to connect with. In my practice there will be Reiki, Acupuncture, Massage/Spa, Apothecary, and Crystal/Bookshop.
I’m also a pharmacy technician and have been for the last eleven years or so. I’ve been working at Baystate Health as a pharmacy liaison. It’s allowed me to dig deep into different types of illnesses, i.e., oncology, hepatitis C, crohn’s disease, etc. A lot of these patients have tried alternative therapy such as reiki, acupuncture, and herbal medicine as well. I’m sort of a health care/healer nerd with a strong curiosity about botany and herbal medicine. I think I might be on a fabulous path of becoming a Naturopathic Doctor. I get chills when I say it, think it, or write it.
So, this is a start to my blog of the healing modality of Reiki. Enjoy.
